  11. Hi,
  12. I first got the new 33.6 Sportstervi and thought I was ok, had the newest chips
  13. etc.  Anyway, I had orignally noticed a slight freezing that gets
  14. worse as I stay connected.  Now I am reading that this is firmware 
  15. problem and not the fact that I have only 4mb of RAM.  I also
  16. noticed this problem in the dos based comm packages I have so I know
  17. it is not a windows ram problem.

  19. Is this freezing really due to a firmware  problem?  Is USR ever going
  20. to be able to fix it?

  22. Should I return the modem while I still can>  WHICH MODEM should I get
  23. to replace it?  Soiund like almost all modems suck.
